LALONDE, Lionel “Pat” – Mr. Lionel “Pat” Lalonde at the Ottawa Heart Institute on Friday January 25, 2013 at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of 62 years to Madeline (née Viau) Lalonde. Dear father of Patricia Lalonde of Vancouver, B.C. and Lloyd Lalonde (Karen McMillan) of Cornwall. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Pierre Chevrier (Su), Andre Chevrier, Brittany Tardif and Nicholas Tardif; and great-grandchild Coco. Predeceased by his son Martin Lalonde, his parents Joseph and Evelyn (née Bourgon) Lalonde, and his siblings Beatrice Burke, Myrna Verge and Lloyd Lalonde. Pat enjoyed being involved with Cornwall Minor Baseball, Connie Mac Baseball, Cornwall Minor Hockey, Glen Productions and he was a member of St. Columban's Church choir. Cremation has taken place. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall where visitation will be held only Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday January 30, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Rite of Committal at a later date in St. Columban’s Parish Cemetery, Cornwall. If so desired, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to the Ottawa Heart Institute would be preferred by the family.
